'Mozart hat den blues' - (Mhdb = abbreviation, Mozart has the blues = English translation), Kassel (Germany) - is an avantgarde jazz & absurd rock band. Mhdb present themselves mainly on the Mhdb sessions and videos. Mhdb's publications such as 'Mozart had the Blues' analyze the band, the theory & history of drums, as well as urban music, urban culture & development. The virtual Mhdb twin, Bambulete, performs the self-created 43 Mhdb songs (the Mhdb standards) in a largely atonal & percussive style.

The Mhdb Session Trio: Barbara Nespethal (voc, recorders), Anton Cik (key, arr), Wolfgang Billmann (voc, steeld, d) * * *

The whole Mhdb story (approx. 1960-), theoretical background (texts, arrangements, melodies, chords, measures), and the 20 pre-Mhdb & Mhdb bands: "Mozart had the Blues, The theory, history & prehistory of 'Mozart hat den blues' (Mhdb) - or: an amateur drummer's autobiography". Text (approximate English translation):

The MozartBoogie, we are playing here, is merry and crazy, tralala   G7 - F7 - 2 C7
The MozartBoogie, we are playing here, is merry and crazy, tralala   G7 - F7 - 2 C7
The MozartBoogie, we are playing here, is merry and crazy, tralala   G7 - F7 - 2 C7
That's what makes us loved with young and old throughout the country and Canada   G7 - F7 - 2 C7

The rip-off is our metier   4 C7
And how to haggle properly
The rip-off is our metier   2 F7
And how to haggle properly   2 C7
So let us sing merrily   G7 - F7
Because all the birds are fooled easily   2 C7

The MozartBoogie, we are playing here, is merry and crazy, tralala
